Job Title: Manager, Regional Capacity

Location: Remote

SUMMARY

Identify and develop strategic carrier relationships in a specific region that will be beneficial to Landstar Blue and the Landstar Agent family’s current and new business opportunities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

·Continuous development of carrier relationships in order to contract rates and capacity for Landstar Blue and the Landstar Agent family

·Make and receive phone calls and emails to and from carriers within a specific region with a goal of learning the carriers’ networks and identifying matches to Landstar Blue and Landstar Agent’s freight opportunities

·Discuss and negotiate rates and capacity commitments with carriers within a specific region

·Post loads on load boards to identify potential capacity partners

·Discuss carrier performance and compliance to rates and capacity commitments

·Capturing carrier network wants and needs from capacity

·Work with operation teams to discuss lanes where committed capacity is needed and identify solutions

·Participate in onboarding calls when setting up carriers on new lanes

·Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

·High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

·One to three years of industry experience required
