Sports Official - Part Time

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: 

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. 
 

Position Purpose:  The Sports Official holds responsibility to officiate youth sports in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. 
 

Responsibilities: 

• Build relationships with participants, parents, coaches and officials 

• Act in accordance with YMCA of the USA Youth Sports policies and procedures at all times 

• Maintain a safe sports environment at all times.  Make sure that non-participants are not interfering with games play or participation of team members 

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 
   

Qualifications: 

• 15 years of age or older 

• Possess advanced knowledge of the sport 

• Display appropriate maturity level and ability to relate to all ages and ability levels 

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
