Job Title: Plant Engineer Department: Engineering

Reports to: Engineering Manager Effective Date: November 2022

Job Summary:

Entry Level Civil Engineering Position required to work on both Architectural and Structural Precast projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Production:
Assist production personnel with range of items including, but not limited to, resolving ticket issues, assisting mold builders to better understand complex details and features, coordinating and answering Production NCRs.

Engineering:
Assist in the development of production shop tickets, shop drawing details and the assembly of drawings for a variety of precast concrete systems using Revit (BIM). Assist and Support Plant Improvement infrastructure projects and or additions. Produce structural design calculations for reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and structural steel connections using a variety of tools including RISA-3D, Mathcad, Microsoft Excel, and others.
Produce structural design calculations for plant handling and erecting variety of precast products.

Project Management:
Assist in drafting and answering RFI’
Assist in coordinating submittals, hardware orders and quantities take off.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read construction plans, be highly detail oriented with good written/verbal skills.
Experience using Autodesk products including
AutoCAD and Revit BIM (previous Revit experience is a plus and desired).
Willingness to learn new software applications such as Bluebeam, Sketch-up, Fusion360 to better assist the needs of production personnel and production equipment.
Willingness and ability to work as a team player.
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook,Teams and Excel.
Experience in similar concrete related industry is desired.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university is a requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
