The role:

As the Learning and Inclusion Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a diverse, inclusive, and learning-focused workplace culture. You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and coordinating training and development programs, with a specific focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Collaborating closely with CAPSLO Programs, Committees, and Department Directors/Managers, you will identify learning/training needs and spearhead initiatives to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and respect for all employees.

 

We would love to hear from someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 5 years' experience developing and/or delivering training curriculum.
  • Has experience in HR training and development, with a specific focus on DEI.
  • Has experience in responding to diverse learning styles.
  • Is familiar with learning management systems and HR software.
  • Is bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural in English and Spanish (required).
  • Has a valid California Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

As the HR Learning and Inclusion Coordinator you will:

  • Identify and prioritize training needs within the organization.
  • Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments and analyze performance gaps with a focus on DEI, considering diverse perspectives and needs.
  • Design, develop, and deliver effective training programs and materials that are inclusive and address DEI principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to address specific DEI concerns within the organization.
  • Implement and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) for efficient training administration and reporting.
  • Design, deliver, and assess training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career development.
  • Ensure that training materials and resources are up-to-date, relevant, and engaging.
  • Track and report on DEI-related training initiatives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through various assessment methods and feedback with a DEI lens, considering the impact on diverse employee groups.
  • Apply a DEI lens to agency policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director to identify, develop, and implement training programs that align with DEI-related goals as outlined in the agency's strategic plan.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in learning and development.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire. 
  • Must comply with the CAPSLO COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, either being fully vaccinated or sign a COVID-19 vaccination declination form.
  • Based on program, a current TB skin test/Chest X-Ray may be required. 
  • Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable job requirements and background requirements. A criminal history clearance is required prior to employment. 
  • Upon hire, agency staff will check the Megan’s Law (or the current sexual predator website) to ensure each staff being hired is clear for employment. Agency staff will check the website annually to ensure all program staff are cleared to work.
