The role:

As the Recuperative Care Program Supervisor you will oversee the day-to-day operations and supervision of the Recuperative Care Program (RCP) team. You will work under the direction of the Clinical Programs Manager, and as the Program Supervisor you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that unhoused individuals with medical vulnerabilities receive the care and resources they need to increase physical self-sufficiency.

We would love to hear from someone who:

  • Has a BA in healthcare, social work, or related field.
  • OR has an AA in healthcare, social work, or related field.
    • PLUS has a minimum of 2 years experience providing direct human or health services to medically related, economically disadvantaged, physically/mentally disabled, substance abuse/dually diagnosed individuals, the elderly, and at-risk youth. Education, volunteer experience, and other related experience may be accepted.
  • Has a minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience (preferred but not required).
  • Has experience working with the homeless population (preferred but not required).
  • Has dependable, insured transportation, a valid California Driver's License (mileage to be reimbursed), and an acceptable driving record. A DMV printout and proof of insurance will be required.

As the Recuperative Care Program Supervisor, you will:

  • Be responsible for monitoring compliance with goals through review of client records, weekly supervision, and group meetings.
  • Coordinate with multiple service providers to enhance, augment, and coordinate service delivery to participants.
  • Be responsible for recruitment, selection and hiring of RCP vacancies.
  • Be responsible for identifying, creating, structuring, and implementing orientation training, and refreshers as needed to RCP Staff.
  • Supervise and manage the RCP Case Manager(s) and RCP Nurse with monitoring client medical and social needs. Work with all staff to ensure that program policies and procedures are delivered safely and consistently in accordance with Housing First, Trauma Informed Care, and Harm Reduction philosophies.
  • Implement and keep in constant communication with not only your internal RCP staff members but with Prado shelter staff as well.
  • Be responsible for ensuring shifts are scheduled timely and distributed to RCP staff. You must coordinate coverage of any open shift due to staff absences or vacancies, which may include covering open shift on your staff’s behalf.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire.
  • Must comply with the CAPSLO COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, either being fully vaccinated or sign a vaccination declination form.
  • Based on program, a current TB skin test/Chest X-Ray may be required.
  • Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable job requirements and background requirements. A criminal history clearance is required prior to employment.
  • Upon hire, agency staff will check the Megan’s Law (or the current sexual predator website) to ensure each staff being hired is clear for employment. Agency staff will check the website annually to ensure all program staff are cleared to work.
