Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare organization offering a full continuum of care, including variety of programs throughout Arizona, Oklahoma and District of Columbia. Founded in 1982 as a non-profit organization by members of the recovery community in Mesa, Arizona, Community Bridges Inc. has held as its principle mission “maintaining the dignity of human life” for more than 40 years.

The District of Columbia Stabilization Center (DCSC), operated by Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI), will offer immediate, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year, no cost, low barrier access to Crisis SUD services for individuals 18 years of age and older, regardless of gender, insurance, and citizenship status. The DCSC will provide individuals experiencing an SUD crisis with person-centered and a recovery-oriented alternative to unnecessary encounters at emergency departments or interactions with law enforcement. The DCSC will ensure those individuals seeking or referred for services will receive an integrated and comprehensive care to address their specific needs in a supportive clinical and recovery-oriented environment. CBI will hire pursuant to the DC EEO provisions.

Job Summary
The Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in the D.C. Stabilization and Sobering Center who provides emotional support, mental health evaluations, therapy and case management services to people who are experiencing psychological, emotional, medical, social and/or familial challenges.

The LSW coordinates with the Registered Nurses (RN), Behavioral Health Medical Providers (BHMP), Techs and Recovery Support Specialists to ensure a safe environment and that quality care is provided to all presenting for services.

Skills/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or a Master’s degree in counseling, or higher
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required.
  • LGSW, LISW or LICSW from the D.C. Board of Social Work, or LGPC, LPC from the D.C. Board of Professional Counseling required
