The Attractions Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the operations of all attractions including but not limited to, Northern Lights Sky Ropes Course, Laser Tag, Outdoor Mini-Golf, Indoor and Outdoor Go-Karts, Zip-Line, Indoor Mini-Golf, Clip and Climb Challenge Walls, Timberland, Take Flight, and all Arcades on property. Responsibilities include assisting in the training of staff in all areas, assigning and directing work, appraising, addressing complaints and resolving problems. All Supervisors must be trained at the Ropes Course as a Ropes Course Operator. Supervisors must be available by radio at all times during his/her shift. 

This is a full-time position with day, night and weekend availability.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilites: this list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. 

 

  • Inspects all attractions on a daily basis to monitor safety and repairing of any equipment.  Ensures Inspection forms, daily opening and closing checklists are given to Attractions Management on a daily basis.  Reports any and all maintenance issues to the Director of Attractions.
  • Ensures all amenities are staffed and ready to operate per the hours of operation and staffing levels dictated for each area.  Cuts labor and amenities when appropriate with approval of Director of Attractions and/or Resort Management Staff. 

 

A list of specific duties by amenity included but not limited to the following:

 

Wild Abyss Mini-Golf - Ensure the welfare and care of all marine life daily.  In the absence of the inspector, assist with feeding and ensures that we have supplies daily, weekly, monthly.  Ensures general cleanliness in and around all mini-golf areas (front and back of the house).  Ensure amenity is enjoyable and educational to resort guests.   Able to recognize serious issues with habitat and water and notify Attractions Management immediately to prevent animal loss.

 

Northern Lights Sky Ropes – Must be certified as a Ropes Course Operator.  Will ensure staffing is set for peak and slow times.  During peak periods of time, will consistently be present at the ropes course assisting with staff and ensuring that the amenity is enjoyable, and that staff is staying on task and that all Safety Policies are followed.  Will assist with all takedowns monthly.

 

Laser Tag - Inspects the cleanliness of Laser Tag arena, Vesting Rooms including the common areas surrounding the arena.  Ensure that all vests are in working order. Be able to troubleshoot Laser Vests and be able to identify the problem and be able to repair and maintains a log for each vest.  During peak periods, must periodically be present at the laser tag and assist staff.  Reports any damage to the arena to Attractions Management.

 

Go-Karts (Indoor and Outdoor) - inspects all tracks, cars and equipment on a weekly basis (staff inspects daily per shift).  Is able to troubleshoot issues and notify Grounds/Vehicle Maintenance of any broken carts.  Enforces uniform policy and cuts when necessary.  Monitors weather and in the event of inclement weather will call Sr. Attractions Manager and/or Resort Management when the track is being closed. Above all ensures the safety of staff and guests.

 

Outdoor Mini-Golf - Ensure staff has all supplies needed.  

 

Zip-Line - If certified, inspects lines on a weekly basis (staff inspects daily), monitors weather, reservations, rotations and tour times.   Above all ensures the safety of staff and guests daily.  In the event of inclement weather will call Sr. Attractions Manager and/or Resort Management when we are closed due to weather.

 

Timberland - Ensure staffing is set for peak and slow times.  Works with maintenance to ensure repairs are made in a timely manner. Ensures that the feature is clean, and employees are continuously cleaning the feature on a daily basis. Works with staff on proper training of Bio-Hazard policy and ensures that when a Bio-Hazard arises in the feature that proper protocol is followed.

 

Wilderwoods Indoor Go Karts – Inspects cars and equipment on a daily basis. Enforces uniform policy and cuts staff when necessary.  Ensures surrounding area of the Go Kart Track is clean in front of the house and behind the house.  Is able to troubleshoot issues and notify maintenance of any broken carts.  Above all ensures the safety of staff and guests.

 

Clip and Climb Challenge Walls- Ability to inspect harnesses, walls, belay systems, and foundations of walls. Monitor cleanliness of Challenge wall area. Ability to assist in daily operations when business persists.

 

All other duties as assigned by management.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise a total of 30-150 employees in the Attractions Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
