The Wilderness Resort is seeking hardworking, dependable, enthusiastic, customer service driven individuals to join our fast paced team! Employees have access to great benefits, amenity usage, and so much more! 

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the safety, maintenance, and repairing of all buildings owned and operated by Wilderness Resort.

This is a 1st shift position with weekday and weekend availability.
*Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver's License (or ability to obtain one) and an acceptable driving record*
 
Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited:

• Examine vehicle and discuss with management or Automobile Repair Service Estimator, Automobile Tester, or Bus Inspector nature and extent of damage or malfunction. Plan work procedures. 
• Raise Vehicle with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle. 
• Remove unit such as engine, transmission, or differential. 
• Disassemble unit and inspect parts for wear. 
• Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps.
• Repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Realign and adjust front end, repair or replace shock absorbers, and solder leaks in radiator. 
• Mend damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts. 
• Replace and adjust headlights and install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers. 
• Purchase parts and initiates P.O's for approval by the Building Systems Director, Director of Operations, and General Manager.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
