Title: Coordinator, ShwashLock         

Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Program Manager

Schedule: Monday, Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm), Tuesday-Thursday (8am-4:30pm)

Location: Access Center
 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the ShWashLock Coordinator is responsible for:

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Orient all participants on Shower, Locker, Laundry program, policies and procedures.

·       Perform locker intakes and review locker policies and procedures.

  •  Maintain and keep accurate documentation of client information (intake, lock Combination, locker # assigned, locker extension form, Etc.) and disseminate Locker Program roster
  • Engage clients and refer into the case management process by effectively building trust and credibility. 
  • Complete and post all needed flyers regarding the Shwashlock Program.
  • Prepare and print sign in sheets for showers, lockers and laundry services – 7 days a week
  • Conduct complete inventory check and keep accurate record of all Shwashlock supplies.
  •  Stock shower, laundry, hygiene, towels and toiletry supplies.
  • Responsible for organization, collection and data entry for shower, locker and laundry stats.
  • Update client logs for showers, lockers and laundry as needed.
  •  Assist staff in maintaining order and a smooth flow of services throughout the day.
  • Provide Crisis intervention using Non-violent Crisis Intervention techniques to disruptive clients. 
  • Provide accurate information regarding Access Center & SHWASHLOCK services and service hours.
  • Discharge and document client exits from the Shwashlock program
  • Maintains Communication  with the case managers in regards to Shwashlock locker availability, extensions and locker terminations
  • Maintain, organize and update Shwashlock Program client files
  • Coordinate with staff to clean and remove items from lockers
  • Assist to keep Shwashlock office clean and organized; clean out items that are not needed
  • Assist with Shwashlock monitor duties as needed
  • Communicate with the supervisor on a daily basis to report all issues, concerns, suggestions and successes
  • Reports all maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Make a service request to CSC Vendor when washer/Dryers are not operational.
  • Assist with daily operation of facility as needed, including general cleaning duties.
  • Keep and Maintain power washing log
  • Facilitate groups for clients related to  personal Hygiene
  • Administer monthly client surveys and input data.
  • Provide Shwashlock training for staff
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed by the Program Manager
  • Assist with Donation Coordination, organization and storage
  • Ensure that all clients are adhering to the COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures
  • Attend all staff meetings, training's and retreats as scheduled. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

·       AA degree or high school diploma with experience or equivalent experience.

·       Possess effective customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations.

·       Minimum of one (1) year in customer service and social services

·       Demonstrated knowledge of issues faced by population served. Knowledge of social service agencies, especially on the Westside, including access to government benefits/Welfare system. Skilled in non-violent crisis intervention.

·       Ability to act in a professional manner regardless of circumstances.

·       Commitment to improving the community through empowerment and dignity.

·       Familiarity with non-violent crisis intervention.

·       Ability to self-motivate and to appropriately organize and motivate others.

  • Computer literate; able to use computerized database system for program participant file management and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Bilingual preferred

Work Environment

  • Combination of field and office environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
  • On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
  • Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
  • Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
  • May need to bend, stoop, twist and sit throughout the day
