Director of Golf Instruction (FT)

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Director of Golf Instruction is leading Crystal’s award-winning and multi-faceted golf instruction programs developed over the last 25 years. This includes development of programing and teaching junior golfers; promoting and teaching a full schedule of nationally promoted golf schools; cultivating a private and group lesson clientele including Crystal golf members;  running tournaments and outings; ,partnering with learning institutions to deliver accredited golf internship programs; club fitting and collaborating with Crystal’s team at all levels. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage and inspire golf teaching staff
• Optimize revenue and profitability from teaching programs
• Manage learning center schedule; assist in tournaments; outings and marking golf courses
• Constant, collaborative and clear communications with all golf staff, golf club member services and resort operations in general
• Growing the game including but not limited to developing, coordinating and managing of junior golf programs

Job Specifications

Competencies:

• PGA or LPGA Teaching Professional (Class A Membership preferred)
• Min. 5 years teaching at a min. 4-Star rated course and nationally recognized teaching program
• Min. 4-year degree or equivalent, ideally with business and teaching concentrations
• Proficiency with complex lesson and staffing scheduling and transaction platforms
• Experience programming, preparation and teaching golf schools and private and group instruction
• Supervisory experience
• Experience using Trackman4 and V1 Sports programs as teaching and selling aide
• Excel, Outlook and POS literacy
• Demonstrated communications, organizational and time management skills

Physical & Other Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
