We are a technology company that happens to be in the insurance industry with a goal of becoming the #1 InsurTech. We are looking for software engineers that will help us deliver products now, and can grow into our leaders of the future.


As a member of our Commercial Lines Underwriting team you will help us create first in class systems to

  • Simplify the process for agents to get quotes and issue policies
  • Interact with 3rd party vendors in order to get data needed to underwrite the policies and lessen the amount of data manually entered
  • Generate documents such as quotes, declarations, proposals, certificates of insurance, etc
  • Identify and loss control higher risk policies to help the insureds prevent claims from happening
  • Identify and audit policies to ensure we are collecting the appropriate amount of premium for the risk


  • Write code with testability, readability, edge cases, and errors in mind
  • Write unit tests, sometimes with help from more senior engineers
  • Understand the basics of debugging and the tools used for it
  • Daily conversations with the team about the progress of work
  • Deliver on commitments with a sense of urgency
  • Understand the importance of weighing cost and value in decision making and work with more senior engineers to apply this to work
  • Build strong relationships with teammates and manager



  • 1-2 years of experience in the .NET applications, preferably built on combinations of .NET Framework, .NET Web Forms, .NET Core, Web API, C#, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Must be analytical, flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, team player with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated competence.
