Operations Manager

As an Operations Manager, you’ll guarantee that our warehouse operations run efficiently and smoothly by overseeing your team and addressing any obstacles that could delay your team’s success.  You’ll create an environment of engagement and accountability for individual team members and team performance, through analyzing communication metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement. As an Operations Manager, you’ll operate in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment, ensuring that safety and efficiency standards are not compromised. 

As the Operations Manager, you’ll be a strategic leader. Analyzing all warehouse data pertaining to staffing, receiving, shipping, inventory, production, attendance, working with your team to strategize solutions to ensure our quality of service and operations are never compromised.

Because we operate in a temperature-controlled environment, it’s vital that the product in our facility maintains the highest level of quality. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide accountability to the supervisory team, ensuring that training, evaluating and monitoring team member's performance and SOP compliance expectations are met.

• Campaign strategic initiatives, implement best practices and monitor the fair and equitable application of policies, procedures, and practices.  

• Engaging and motivating team members through daily presence on the warehouse floor, walking the aisles and docks, frequently attending shift meetings and working as a warehouse team member several times a month to maintain an operational skill set.

• Provide oversight for budget development and operating within budget while identifying opportunities for cost control.  

• Audit and analyze all warehouse data, reports and paperwork to ensure schedules and deadlines are met.

• Utilize warehouse management system to track KPI’s and manage the operations.

• Monitor/audit daily for GMP, COOL procedures (Country of Origin Labeling), HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and other food safety guidelines. 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or similar field preferred 

• Minimum 2 years of related warehouse experience

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operations/warehouse environment preferred

• Passion for People and Warehouse Operations

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Ability to be exposed to products which may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.) 

• Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer including nights, weekends and holidays 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and squat on a frequent to continual basis in a warehouse environment 

• Ability to adjust to fluctuating temperatures and withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit 

• Must be able to work in a noisy warehouse environment
