Job Title:  Weekend Custodian - Part-Time 

Branch: Kennett Area YMCA

Location: Kennett Square, PA

Shifts/Availability: Weekends Part time

Starting Pay: $12-$16/ hour

 

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: 

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. 

 

Position Purpose:  The Kennett Area YMCA is looking for a Custodian to maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility and to be responsible for the cleanliness of our locker rooms, childcare and other various spaces.


Responsibilities: 

  • Understand and perform custodial functions 

  • Maintain a safe environment for members, participants and general public while performing work duties 

  • Assist with room set up and breakdown 

  • Assist with occasional grounds maintenance tasks 

  • Evaluate and report any health, safety or cleanliness issues to supervisor 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 
     

Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic custodial equipment and functions 

  • Ability to relate well with staff and general public 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older male

  • Must have HS diploma or GED 

  • Minimum of 1 year experience required
