POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Program Director the Camp Registrar is responsible for ensuring the highest level of member satisfaction, safety, and consistent business operations by providing excellent customer and member services at the Front Desk. The Camp Registrar is fluent in all general functions associated with the operation of the office. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Provides excellent customer service to campers and parents through greeting in person or on telephone.

  Performs Camper Registration related duties as needed; entering camper registrations, compile camper kits, data entry on camper forms, filing.

  Follows policies within the Camp brain registration system as explained by the Program Director.

 Answer questions from general public and association staff about programs for both Day and Overnight Camps. Light knowledge of Program availability will be developed.

 Assists with check-in/out process with camp staff. Keeps consistent reports for binders.

 Assists with Camp Store Operations during specified times. All transactions completed in a timely manner. 

 Communicates with parents on items needed for camp on a timely basis.

  Manages incoming and outgoing mail.

 Completes any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum 18 years of age.  Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.  Proficient Computer skills and Typing speed required.  Successful Candidate will be friendly, outgoing, accurate, neat, dependable, and self-motivated.  Prior Customer Service experience required.  Ability to concentrate in a busy atmosphere, adjust to erratic workload and handle multiple tasks.  Applicant will need open availability for possible day/evening, weekdays/weekends.  Successful Candidate will be able to understand and explain YMCA policies and procedures.  Hold a current valid driver’s license.
