Position Summary Description:

The ChefZone Branch Manager is responsible for providing leadership, creating systems to establish and maintain operational excellence, and ensuring a high-level of customer service across all departments to effectuate financial targets.


The ChefZone Branch Manager is expected to embody and uphold the Core Values of the branch.  The ChefZone Branch Manager understands that timely and relevant communication leads to a positive work culture that in turn creates job satisfaction and measurable results.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares store sales/profit projections and operating budgets. Will be responsible for controlling labor and other overhead costs.
  • Oversee and direct all store operational functions including but not limited to: sales, operational excellence, purchasing, stocking, inventory control, customer service, physical and data security, loss prevention/risk, food safety, and control of financial assets.
  • Keeps informed of business trends, competitor’s strategies, and new market entrants.
  • Identifies and builds relationships with strategic vendor partners including concessionaires.
  • Coordinates with Y. Hata distribution business to ensure efficiencies in the areas of purchasing, receiving/inventory transfer, and other processes.
  • Oversees content, production and distribution of all marketing and publicity material (posters, flyers, brochures, etc.) with Sales & Marketing.
  • Implements and monitors marketing, loyalty, and merchandising programs.
  • Consults with Human Resources with matters pertaining to personnel management (legal and corporate compliance, performance management, training, recruitment, safety, etc.)
  • Oversees and ensures accurate documentation of production and quality control data and records.
  • Ensures interior and exterior of store is maintained to company standards with regard to safety and cleanliness.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance department in overseeing the food safety program.
  • Maintains general oversight and ensures accuracy of records including A/R, A/P, Inventory, cash handling, etc.
  • Prepares and achieves monthly and annual budget requirements.
  • Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complies with HAACP Plan guidelines and protocols. Displays GMP including receiving, storing, and presentation of products.
  • Protects and develops the company’s brands via PR activities and intellectual property management.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and ensures that employees also provide the same level of service.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; counseling employees, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Direct reports include: Operations Manager, Department Managers, Account Managers (Sales), and Visual Merchandiser.


Education/Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or

Seven to ten years of foodservice, retail, wholesale, and/or grocery experience. 5 years in a managerial capacity required.
