SUMMARY

The IT Specialist provides HelpDesk and field support for all current Information Technology systems. This position is the company’s primary point of contact for the installation, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of systems including, but not limited to: computers, printers, access points, workstations, telephones, software, electronic cash register, back office system, video surveillance systems and interfaces to centralized systemsand electronic interfaces to vendors programs.

*Responsible for verifying the staging of the computer for the store’s software to ensure setup is complete and the system is functioning and communicating properly

Serves as team lead for internal inventory audits

*Maintain hardware and software and warranties for company laptops

*Maintain regular attendance and follow designated safety practices

Perform other duties not listed as required

Communication

*Provide end-user support (HelpDesk) with both written and verbal updates

*Provide system assessments and performance to field support


Customer Service Orientation

*Provide superior customer service to HelpDesk customers in the area of IT-related systems

*Support office and field personnel with the operations of IT-related systems

*Ensure Retail Accounting is able to generate information to support managers with daily paperwork

Developing Talent

*Provide crossing training for other members of the IT team

*Provide technical support and training for users
*Complete training as required to meet regulatory compliance and company guidelines

Technical Expertise

*Ensure localized standardization in policies and procedures that involve store systems and data input

Optimize store operating system performance

Ensure all locations are operating under the latest software versions

Upgrade physically all locations on new software versions if software update is not provided electronically

*Adhere to all Wallis Companies safety policies and report all safety incidents to supervisor immediately

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: *Required:Equivalent to high school diploma

Preferred:Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience:IT Specialist I - *At least 1 year of experience in Information Technology or related field
IT Specialist II - *At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology or related field

IT Specialist III - *At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology or related field


Language Skills: *Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a manner that is

sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Certificates, Licenses

and/or Registrations:*IT Specialist I – CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent

*IT Specialist II – CompTIA Network+ Certification or equivalent preferred

*IT Specialist III – CompTIA A+ Server+ and Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent preferred
