Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position: Director of Social Work/Client Care Coordinator
The Director of Social Work/Client Care Coordinators is a dynamic and flexible LCSW passionate about working with single adult clients experiencing homelessness. This position requires a thorough understanding of relevant service delivery systems and structures, including strong knowledge and experience with mental health systems, and the ability to access and negotiate the full range of services for recipients.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work with LCSW licensure, minimum of three - five years of experience with two those in supervisory capacity providing behavioral health treatment and support to single adults using trauma based practice model.
- Ability to perform interdisciplinary clinical consultations including psychiatric evaluations for supportive housing, ability to manage multiple projects, knowledge of evidence-based practices and their application in single adult shelter setting, experience working with diverse cultures, religions, races, and sexual orientations.
Director of Social Work/Client Care Coordinator Principal Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and retain Social Workers/Client Care Coordinators, Care Coordination Supervisor and Care Managers. Ensure all staff maintain licensure.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement social work services into existing program services.
- Serve as funder/regulatory agency liaison.
- Prepare reports, develop and implement training plan for social service staff.
- Develop and maintain community contacts and support.
