Responsibleforthe food pantry whichincludes maintainingaconsistentstate ofcleanlinessandorder in all areas, packing and unpacking Items to be stocked on shelves, keeping an accurate count of Inventory and investigating any discrepancies;reports to the Director of Social Services and/or acting supervisor on duty.

DriverResponsibilities:(50%)
Picksupfoodandotherdonationsfromvariousvendors. Prepares and delivers food boxes.
Drivescarefullyandobserves/complieswithalltrafficsignsandroad/weatherconditionstoensuresafety.
ParksvehicleInasafe and clearlymarked parkingspace. Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is notInuse.
Fuels vehicle in accordance with stategasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards. Logs all mileage on standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completenessof thesame.
Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephones aheadwhen severe delays occur. Maintains control of vehicle by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior.
Schedules routine maintenance of The Salvation Army vehicle to ensure safety of passengers and longlife ofvehicle.
Washesandcleansvehicleregularly.
FoodPantryResponsibilities:(50%)
Receive,count,stockfoodand hygieneitems;determineproperstoragemethodsastopreventfood spoilage,identification, and stock location; mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electronic marking tools or other labeling equipment as requested.
Responsibleforunloadingandstoringallfoods,suppliesthataredelivered.
Ensuresproperhandlingandstorageoffood,Includingmonitoringequipmentforpropertemperature control.
Responsiblefor theinventoryofallfoodsandsuppliesinandoutofthefoodpantry.
Maintainasystem that accountsfor the properfood,inthecorrect quantities,at the right timeisavailable to the designated clients within designated times.
Examine/Inspect stock itemsfor wearor defects;maintainproperrecordson theuse of/ damageto stock or stock handling equipment, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Packandunpackitemstobestockedonshelves instockrooms,warehousesorstorageyards.
Maintain aclean and organized area inandaround the food pantry, refrigerators,freezers, and theoutside area around the loading platform.
Store tools and equipment inand orderly and accessible manner inwarehouses, toolrooms, supplyrooms and other areas.
Maintainhigh cleanlinessstandards inall areas of the Social Services building includingthe lobby, halls, activity room, client and staff restrooms and general areas.
Cleanandmaintainsupplies,tools,equipment,andstorageareastoensurecompliancewithsafety guidelines and regulations.

PhysicalRequirements/WorkingConditions
Duties are usually performed by combinationsof silting, standing, lifting, and walking on a frequent change basis.
Moderate amount of physical effort required associated withwalking, standing, lifting and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) frequently.
Work is usually performed in a normal food pantry environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, with the exception of driving conditions.
