KROC Director_E-KT_101-Administration

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Kroc Director (full-time) for the Southern Territory, Memphis Kroc Center located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Job Summary

Provides leadership for the KROC Corps Community Center in venues of recreation, fitness, education and the arts; provides leadership to staff; oversees safety of facility, children, staff, volunteers; ensures compliance of Salvation Army policy and the Sr. Kroc Community Center Mission to optimize financial and service performance. Work closely with Memphis Area Commander/Kroc Officer in setting priorities and coordinating operational issues according to sound fiscal and budgetary requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership, management and project management skills.

Written and verbal communication skills, including presence and presentation development and delivery.

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.

Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education and Experience

BA degree in business administration or related field. MPA or MBA or advanced degree or a plus.

Minimum five to seven years of experience directing operations.

Minimum of five years prior experience supervising and managing multiple tasks and professional staff.

Experience in a nonprofit environment a plus. Certification in Non-Profit Leadership (CNP) a plus

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to stoop and bend; lift up to 25 lbs. Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, but may be performed periodically in disaster service areas and camp settings.

Valid Driver’s License
