The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for a Building Maintenance Worker for the Metro Atlanta Area Command, located in Atlanta Georgia
 

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings and equipment; performs minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repair work. Provides custodial care for the common areas of the building and the grounds.
 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of general building and grounds maintenance practices and procedures; Ability to learn by method of on-the-job training including ability to follow instructions; Ability to perform routine and minor repair and maintenance activities of buildings and grounds; Ability to use and maintain maintenance equipment and tools effectively and in a safe manner; Ability to follow instructions, plan and organize work, and adhere to timetables with limited supervision; Ability to read, write and communicate the English language; Ability to operate/use handheld tools, power tools and lawn mower.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or G.E. D.


LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid State Driver’s License
