The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized, non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Program Aide for the Boys & Girls Club located in Burlington, NC.
Job Summary
Responsible for assisting Unit Director/Director of Operations management. Must present yourself as a positive individual. Assist in developing youth programs. Responsible for presenting a positive image of The Salvation Army and its programs to the community, to funding sources, and to other agencies within the area at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must enjoy working with children, must possess good communication, an outgoing personality, and speak/write English fluently.
Education and Experience
- High School Education and previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Willing to participate in a Professional Development Plan
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to perform various yard work including raking, loading, and hauling grass, leaves, pine straw, dirt, etc.
Ability to operate yard maintenance equipment.
Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis
