Seasonal - Warehouse Supervisor - Charlotte, NC
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a FULL-TIME Seasonal Warehouse Supervisor position needed for our Angel Tree Christmas program this year. The position starts in early October and runs through December 23rd, with some evening and weekend work required. This position is in Charlotte, NC

Maintain Christmas Center facility; clean and organize as needed and manage inventory of all supplies.
Sanitize all high contact surfaces throughout the day EVERY day.
Help with deliveries, manage unloading of trucks, and organize placement of all inventory in warehouse.
Maintain all safety and cleaning supply inventory for staff, volunteers and families.
Remove trash from building and take to dumpster, manage removal and proper disposal of recycling.
Help with crowd control and traffic flow during registration and distribution.
Clean and stock bathroom and kitchen areas daily.
Keep parking lot clean of trash and debris.
Greet and help train volunteers on warehouse tasks.
Performs other related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must be a team player and be flexible as priorities can change.
Excellent communication skills – able to read, write and speak in English.
Comfortable dealing with the public, including families, donors and volunteers.
Ability to relate to diverse communities.
Must be a self-starter, able to take direction and work independently to meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and manage various tasks at a time.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Two years of experience working in a warehouse environment
Any equivalent demonstration of training or experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Materials and Equipment
Office phone, Walkie Talkies, Cell Phone, Laptop Computer, Printer, Wireless Computer Smart Device (I-Pad, NotePad)
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements, full-time daily with some evening and weekend work.
Ability to exert the physical energy required for unloading, loading, lifting and moving boxes and bags full of toys.
Ability to help set up and take down tables, chairs, dividers as needed.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Able to operate a pallet jack to move boxes.
Work is performed in a warehouse setting where there may be no heat or AC and may be some physical discomfort.
