What does a Service Technician do at Swire Coca Cola?
Visit customers in assigned geography to diagnose and repair moderately complex Coca-Cola beverage equipment provided to customers for resale of Coca-Cola products. Equipment includes coolers, vending machines, and payment systems. Visits (service orders) are generally scheduled through assigned dispatcher but can be technician generated proactively. Works under limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vending machine (including payment systems) & cooler equipment at customer location to determine work, parts & materials needed and then repair equipment
  • Travel to and from customer locations in assigned area.
  • By use of handheld device; document travel, labor, and materials (parts and supplies) use for each activity.
  • Effective and appropriate interaction with customers, management, and associates.
  • Upon completion of service call, clean and sanitize equipment, clean work area.
  • Correctly check in and out equipment and materials (parts and supplies).
  • Maintain accurate materials inventory ($6-$8K est. value). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle.
  • Attend meetings as assigned
  • Assist with special projects and events as assigned
  • Assist other associates as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • Experience in diagnosis & repair of consumer or commercial appliances preferred
  • 1+ years beverage experience preferred
  • Customer/client service experience preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in SAP CONA, Microsoft Outlook, and PDF reader on an iPhone and/or iPad type device
  • ​​Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, possible DOT requirements (Medical Card)
  • Driving record must meet Swire’s vehicle policy requirements
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to complete Fundamental Skills certification within 90 days of hire required
  • Ability to complete equipment manufacturing and company training within 180 days of hire required
