All Summer Internships have a start date for on Monday, May 22, 2023. 

DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Culinary Product Development Co Op will be a 16-week role in which you will learn the QA, Culinary and Product Development Process.  Throughout your Co Op you will ideate, develop, and prepare recipes for active projects.  This will require cross functional communication as well as thorough documentation.  Projects will be assigned on an as needed basis and will specialize in new SugarCreek technologies – predominately MicVac, Sous Vide and Skin Pack.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and bring to life new recipes for our existing technologies.
• Develop process maps showing how our products flow through the system.
• Join on conference calls where we have live ideation and feedback sessions.
• Utilize equipment to proof recipes and concepts.
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. 
• Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies. 
• Follow SugarCreek safety rules and procedures. 
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIICATIONS
Education: Enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree - seeking program in Food Science or Culinary Arts, or related field.
Experience: None required.
Certification or Licensure Requirements: None required.

ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Problem solving
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
• HACCP creation
• Excellent written and verbal skills

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with office - type positions, including mostly sitting with some standing/walking required.  Other light physical activity like using stairs or occasionally moving items weighing less than 15lbs may be required as needed.  Some travel may be required in between plants.

 
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Some travel to other locations is required.

 

Most work is performed in a comfortable, indoor, office-like facility.
