Here is what you will be doing

  • Provide daily maintenance on conveyors, trucks, trailers and heavy equipment
  • Develop and lead preventative maintenance practices for the facility
  • Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Manager Plus
  • Ensures all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensures proper safety rules, maintenance and operating procedures
  • Write and revise maintenance procedures as needed
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure that necessary amounts of inventory are in stock to reduce any delays or failures.  Maintain critical parts for the facility and system.
  • Ability to schedule work, purchase required component’s and plan schedules to accommodate production
  • Schedule shifts for team members 

What we need from you: 

  • In-depth knowledge of yellow equipment and conveyors
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and troubleshoot
  • Ability to diagnose, problem solve and execute plans
  • Effective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors and other team members
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion
  • A strong record of continuous improvement, personal development and attention to detail are absolute requirements.
  • Experience applying safety regulations and written procedures within a workplace

Here are some of the physical requirements of this role

  • This position will be on their feet for extended period and walk long distances throughout the day.
  • Navigating the facility will include, but is not limited to, exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks and other high places, ground that can be slick, icy or uneven, and other industrial hazards
  • The work site is an industrial setting and will require someone who can work safely around this type of environment
  • Because we are a 24/7 facility during vessel offloads,  this position may be called out at night to assist with critical service problems
  • Must be comfortable working in an office environment at times, working with a computer and sitting for  periods of time
