PURPOSE

  • The Senior Security Analyst role will analyze high impact security events for global response. This position will work in a team environment responsible for a 24x7x365 security technology enablement, support, and global response. In addition, the position will design, lead and champion the delivery of high impact security technologies and develop training guides to facilitate global adoption.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Design, develop, and lead the implementation of industry leading security capabilities and solutions to protect the organization
  • Familiarity with multiple industry leading development frameworks
  • Develop global security architecture and framework to elevate organizations security posture
  • Train and mentor other security teammates towards world class security practices
  • Adherence to SMC IT security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with our users and partners in response to passive and active security incident response activities
  • Evaluate security runbooks for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Review ticket queue for resolution, closure, and escalation
  • Execute malware scans, analyze scan results, and work with other teammates to resolve global security incidents
  • Collaborate with manager on global security event response
  • Other duties as assigned

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Off-hour meetings and work to accommodate global time zones
  • Carry mobile phone during work and off-hours
  • Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace
  • General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas
  • Infrequent off-hours work and local/international travel as required
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Minimum lifting requirements of 15 pounds

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent verifiable education/work experience
  • Successful completion of security training and certification(s) highly recommended
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity domain experience to include one or more of the following: Endpoint, IAM, Network, Application, Incident Response, Security Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Physical Security, etc.
  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience required with strong concentration in cybersecurity
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
  • Ability to travel abroad
