PURPOSE
Perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving production related quality tasks. The position will work closely with UTC / MEG / QA / and production personnel on general and customer specific issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform Measurement System Analysis studies on measuring and test equipment.
Audit / inspect in-process product for targeted products / customers for conformance to requirements.
Perform quality data collection, analysis and feedback for continuous improvement.
Performs first pass yield and rolled throughput yield analysis.
Performs internal quality process audits.
Supports claims technicians in evaluation of customer returned product.
Supports engineering and claims technicians in developing and implementing permanent corrective actions for customer claim issues.
Supports QA departmental functions as needed in production inspections and gage calibration/maintenance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The ability to manipulate/lift/transport SMC product as required.
60% floor/40% office work split.
Must be able to perform in a team oriented atmosphere.
Must have the ability to perform process functions, (example: product assembly and test).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
2 yr degree technical degree or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
High skill level using standard measuring tools such as venire scales, micrometers, standardized gauging, height gages, etc.
Strong communication skills.
Working knowledge of SMC products.
Strong problem solving skills.
Knowledge of inspection techniques/ability to read technical drawings.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques
