SkyWater Technology is hiring an Engineering Technician. This Technician will have oversight of the pilot line that is used to launch new product or technology for the wafer production line. 


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop and improve Standard Operating procedures for wafer manufacturing
  • Disposition Problem Lots per Engineering Standard Operating Procedures
  • Execute Preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Equipment Engineering to improve maintenance procedures
  • Address equipment aborts and malfunctions
  • When necessary, operate equipment to meet line speed requirements
  • Execute experiments per engineering guidelines to determine process improvements
  • Identify and work with other departments to implement improvements to the pilot line
  • Coordinate daily tasks and improvement activities with other departments

Required Qualifications:

  • Wafer fab experience or 4 year manufacturing experience or 2 yr technical degree w/ 2 yrs manufacturing or 4 year technical degree
  • Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Driven to make improvements to your work environment
  • High degree of learning agility
  • Ability to work A Shift defined as Sunday through Tuesday in one week, and Sunday through Wednesday in the other week, from 6:00 am – 6:15 pm, 12.25 hours per day, with a 30-minute break in mid-shift.  

Technology/Equipment: Proficient with MS Office Applications


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience launching new products
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology and/or 5S
  • Experience with statistical process control

U.S. Citizen Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
