SkyWater Technology is proud to offer part-time employment for students enrolled in an accredited, Associate degree program in STEM/Engineering. The program is designed to combine a formal education through an Associate degree program and on-the-job training based on industry and academic-approved curriculum. 

SkyWater’s equipment maintenance technicians are critical to our success! They help avoid disrupted production schedules, minimize safety risks, and protect our capital equipment. There’s never been a better time to investigate this career path. SkyWater is seeking individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn and a strong sense of team.

Responsibilities:
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating and repair manuals.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place.
  • Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
  • Rebuild equipment and sub-assemblies as required.
  • Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
  • Participate in Maintenance or cross-functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP.

Required Qualifications:
Requirements:

  • Completion of 1 year in STEM/Engineering associate degree program. 
  • GPA 2.8 or higher 
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Ability to work with and around chemicals
  • Wear complete fab attire for an entire shift and meet all safety and cleanroom requirements
  • Work around 20+ hours a week
