The SMT Line Operator is responsible for utilizing setup documents to pick components, setup parts on feeders, load on feeder carts and board labelling.  This role is key to SMT production process and supports the SMT Operators, providing them with the necessary parts to allow quality production. Working in a team environment collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain stock accuracy within the SMT stock locations.

What the job is all about: 

  • Utilizing setup documents to pick components, setup parts on feeders, load on feeder carts including understanding polarity, pitch and part identification
  • Fully understand the operation of the MES system with respect to on-line documentation
  • Manage SMT inventory stock locations and overstock
  • Handle the SMT Unplanned Shortage process
  • Board labelling
  • Maintaining ESD practices.
  • Adhering to MSDS procedures and all Ross Safety Policies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Conscientious and willing to ask questions
  • Exceptional aptitude for learning
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Have a high school diploma
  • IPC 610D knowledge
  • Able to work rotational shifts

Bonus points if you have the following: 

  • Manufacturing experience in a PCBA SMT environment
