Software Developer - Robotics (Job Req. #2021-273)
Why Work at Ross Video? We have a great group of people working together to create and deliver cutting edge products that look amazing and are easy to use. We go all out so that our customers can have the best possible experience and achieve quality results. With a product focus, continual learning, results driven processes, and creative thinking, we constantly strive to improve our solutions and to deliver results. If you've ever watched live television, news, sports, or entertainment, you've seen our products in use. All of the major Hollywood award shows, most professional sports teams, and many of the largest broadcasters in the world use Ross Video technology. Get behind the scenes and learn about what it takes to make live events possible. If that resonates, and you’re someone with integrity, commitment, and a strong drive to deliver great products, we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for a software developer to join the Camera Motion Systems team. In our group, software work goes right from bare metal up to the control GUI. This role will focus primarily on the SmartShell software stack. However, you should not fear low-level code, motion control, hardware, and mechanical design. You should demonstrate a keen interest in learning about these areas, as a siloed approach does not work well in robotics.
We have a world-leading family of robotic cameras and want to push the boundaries regarding control of those cameras to the next level with regard to ease of use and complexity of function. We want to make our control systems the best in the business and need your help. You will be part of a small, multi-disciplined and highly skilled team, where your contributions will be immediately noticed. As a member of the robotics development team, you will be guiding and shaping the design, development and delivery of products used in live video production. We strongly encourage end-to-end ownership and there is lots of opportunity for direct customer exposure.
