The District Program Director (“DPD”) is responsible for the onsite, wound center (“Center”) leadership within RestorixHealth (“RXH” or “Company”) on an interim basis.  The DPD represents RXH in an administrative role with regard to hospital administration, hospital departments, panel physicians, referring physicians and other RXH customers.  The DPD is responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality medical care as well as managing center operations including daily administration of the center, fiscal management, marketing and community referral development, staffing and staff management, team-building, budgeting, revenue cycle management, host-hospital interaction management and physician management.  There is considerable travel associated  with this position

Detailed Responsibilities:

Represents the Center in department and management meetings, participates in hospital and RXH committees as requested or assigned.

·         Continuously assesses and coordinates the integration of the Center into hospital operations

·         Develops an annual strategic plan for the Center in conjunction with RXH and hospital resources

·         Manages the Center in accordance with the strategic plan

·         Serves as a liaison between the hospital and the Company

·         Utilizes interdependent team decision-making to ensure quality of care

·         Manages resources that promote the cost effective, efficient operation of the unit and positive patient outcomes

·         Demonstrates critical thinking and independent decision-making utilizing policies and procedures, standards of care, and data analysis, e.g., manages crisis prevention and intervention at a unit level

·         Provides written reports to hospital and Company as requested

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Program Operations

·         Provides educational opportunities for the hospital and the community

·         Continually markets the Center to identified referral sources as identified in the strategic plan, both in-house and in hospitals’ defined geographic area

·         Assures all policies and procedures are current and all manuals necessary to operate the Center are current to Company and hospital standards

·         Assures the Center has adequate staffing, patient care supplies and adequate and safe patient care equipment

 

Program Planning

·         Continuously assesses patient flow in the Center and hospital and implements improvements as appropriate

·         Continuously assesses revenue cycle and reimbursements for Center services and initiates processes necessary to assure the correct level of reimbursement for the hospital

 

Communication

·         Facilitates communication between physicians providing care in the Center and between Center physicians and referral sources, and Center physicians and Company medical leadership

·         Facilitates communication between Center staff, hospital and Company

·         Accurately and adequately maintains all required documentation to support patient care, billing and other Center operations

 

Clinical

·         Overseas the day-to-day operations of the clinical team and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the direction described in unit-based competencies, policies and procedures

·         Plans for appropriate patient populations and manages the plan of care with interdisciplinary team through weekly meetings with clinical team

·         Participates in development of collaborative care with physicians and clinical manager

·         Collects data to utilize and analyze outcome-based care management variance reports to evaluate patient progress

·         Communicates with clinical manager and all team members regarding appropriate therapeutic interventions for patient/significant other/family

·         Responsible for providing care at the center if necessary

·         Delegates appropriate tasks to licensed staff, monitoring and maintaining accountability for the quality of care

·         Develops and coordinates the education plan appropriate to the patient/significant other/family learning style.  Communicates plan to patient/significant other/family and or interdisciplinary care team members.

·         Reviews, audits and documents each patient’s plan of care and interventions, according to policy

·         Initiates and communicates change in patient care delivery based on continual evaluation of progress according to outcome-based care plan

 

Education and Technical Skills:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a healthcare affiliated or business field preferred

·         Three (3) years marketing experience

·         Registered/Licensed healthcare professional (RN, BSN, RRT, RCP, PT) licensed in state of practice preferred but not required

·         Minimum five (5) years experience in specific scope of practice for an RN, RRT or PT, if applicable

·         Three (3) years management experience in a health care setting

·         Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

·         Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with all employees and customers

·         Excellent leadership, delegation, organizational and coordination skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Strong assessment and analytical decision-making skills

 

Other Skills and Abilities

·         Demonstrated experience and effectiveness to educate and market hospital and community physicians and other referral sources

·         Maintains current BLS and all unit required competencies

·         Completion of RXH Basic Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Wound Care Course

·         Demonstrates ability to identify own limitations in skills and knowledge and seeks consultation from available resources for improvement

·         Utilizes good time management skills

·         Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional growth and education

·         Ability to interact in a respectful, positive and friendly manner with supervisors, co-workers and internal and external customers
