Employment & Benefits Associate
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Parker Poe is seeking a litigation associate with substantive employment law knowledge to join its growing Employment & Benefits Practice Group in Charlotte, NC. The candidate will be expected to handle a variety of employment defense matters ranging from active litigation in NC state and federal courts to basic counseling and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of employment litigation, or commercial litigation coupled with employment counseling, experience. This position will assume immediate responsibility for assisting partners in all aspects of civil litigation, including legal research, case theory development, fact and expert discovery, motions practice, and brief writing as well as periodic trials. The applicant must possess exceptional communication skills, research and writing skills, and must be ready and willing to handle depositions, court hearings and client conferences independently.
