Pharmacy Lead- 1st Shift

Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Pharmacy Lead is responsible of weighing ingredients in the correct quantity and adhering to our Standard Operating Procedures and instructions. As the lead person, it is also responsible to coordinate special work and resources as needed and instructed by the supervisor. The pharmacy lead is knowledgeable and capable of training new associates into the correct way of handling and weighing ingredients and into all other functions associates with the role. Understands the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and uses them to guide the work in the department.    
   

Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):
•    Weigh ingredients according to documentation. 
•    Performs major clean in between batches.
•    Operate scales, scanners, and printers.
•    Follow SOP and GMP procedures.
•    Perform reconciliations of components, products, and associated materials as per defined procedures.
•    (Overtime) will be required to work by the company based on the department’s schedule.
•    Lead and train new associates.
•    Accurately dispense all raw materials as per batch record
•    Review and follow the batch records with 100% accuracy
•    Ensure the cleanliness and checks calibration status of all scales and balances
•    Other tasks as assigned 
 

 Ingredients Required (Qualifications):
•    Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
•    Prior pharmacy experience is required.
•    1+ years’ experience as lead
•    Experience training
•    Basic computer skills a plus
•    Must be able to read/write English

Role’s Physical Requirements:
•    Must be able to lift 50lbs
•    Must be able to stand for 8 hours
•    Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing environment.
