Job Summary:
As an account manager you will play a crucial role in the insurance industry, acting as a liaison between insurance clients and the insurance agency company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle all servicing aspects of an existing book of business as well as market new business.
- Advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options / exclusions; making coverage recommendations; requesting policy changes and assisting with the needs of the client.
- Manage marketing of renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
- Initiate renewal reviews and re-markets as appropriate to provide the client with the optimal solution in the coverage of their assets and the retention of the client.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of commercial lines experience
- Property & Casualty license (any state)
- Customer Service and phone conversation skills
- Exceptional ability to create a welcoming environment.
- Experience in answering and screening calls, as well as scheduling appointments.
- Ability to observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance.
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, and emails, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
