Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead our Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance agency in Flint, Michigan. This agency plays a pivotal role in PCF Insurance Services’ success. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of its day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the insurance industry, with previous agency ownership or leadership experience being highly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership to a team of 40 employees, including Producers, Account Managers, and Customer Support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, ensuring that employees are motivated and aligned with the agency's goals and values.
- Oversee all operational activities, ensuring efficient processes and workflows within the agency.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and maximize profitability.
- Monitor and manage the agency's financial performance, including revenue growth, expense control, and profitability.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set financial targets and develop annual budgets.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met and exceeded.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex client issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure the agency operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the insurance industry.
Implement risk management strategies to minimize exposure and protect the agency's assets. - Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute the agency's long-term strategic plan.
- Identify growth opportunities and market trends to stay competitive in the P&C insurance industry.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of managing a successful insurance team, book of business, and driving operational excellence
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of P&C insurance products and industry trends; transportation specialty helpful but not required
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in insurance agency management software (AMS360)
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Location: Flint, Michigan
Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday
