Position Summary:
The Dutch Wonderland Director of Finance leads, plans, manages, directs, and controls all aspects of Budgeting, Forecasting and Strategic Planning for the parks.  It also oversees other important functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Control.  Manages P&L, COS, expenses, labor and budgets, purchasing, inventory control, and receiving in conjunction with Park Support Finance

Roles and Responsibilities:

·     Manages all aspects of the annual budget, periodic forecasting and strategic planning process in conjunction with Corporate Finance
 

·     Oversees and manage all aspects of financial operations in the finance and cash control departments 
 

·     Implement, conduct, and oversee internal audit procedures in all departments

·     Process and report revenue to the corporate office, as well as various levels of the organization, on a daily basis
    

·     Respond to any Corporate Finance or Internal Audit requests
 

·     Manage the collections of accounts receivables and accounts payable functions including review of invoices, expense reports, and check request submissions for accuracy and timeliness
 

·     Review and maintain reconciliations of receivable and general ledger accounts 

·     Complete End of Period tasks such as submitted Daily Sales reports, approved Accounts Payable log, and credit card account reconciliation
 

·     Complete all financial duties related to month and period end closing and end of year closing, such as reviewing Profit & Loss statements
 

·     Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, including attending Safety Committee meetings, adhering to company policies as well as local, state, and federal guidelines
 

·     Support and enforce all park operating policies and procedures
 

·     Manage and control all financial aspects of the departments while maximizing revenue and cost-savings opportunities 
   

·     Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to address accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards 
 

·     Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations pertaining to the finance and cash control operation, including daily inspections and required state documentation 
 

Requirements:
 
Education:  Higher Education in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field highly desired. 
Languages:  English

·     Computer Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

 

Experience:  

·        Minimum three (3) years of experience in accounting
 

·        Minimum three (3) years of experience in management
 

·        Complete understanding of accounting (i.e. month and period end) cycles
