Accounting Internship

Oki Golf has an opportunity for a talented Accounting Intern to join our team this summer. In this position, you will assist the accounting team in a variety of areas to ensure information in the company's financial statements is accurate.

The Accounting Intern reports to the Controller. This internship provides opportunities to work directly with leaders across the business, develop mentoring relationships with experienced accountants, and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Internship Duration: 6/15/2024-9/15/2024

Location: Oki Golf Home Office, 13201 NE Bel Red Rd. Bellevue, WA 98005

Compensation: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Hours: 30-32 per week

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Accounts Payable and Account Receivable during our busy summer season
• Review accounts payable batches processed at properties for accuracy
• Prepare checks for signing and mailing to vendors
• Correspond with vendors, property staff, and other stakeholders in both written and verbal communication.
• Assist with month-end close including preparing journal entries, G/L account reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
• Assist in setting up the members and making member adjustments
• File accounts payable checks and related documents.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Junior status at an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance, or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Resourceful and a self-starter
• Analytical thinking
• Sense of urgency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Works well with others within and across teams to solve problems
• Able to represent Oki Golf in a professional manner when dealing with internal and external vendors

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

• Rate of pay range: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
• Eligible for overtime
