Millions of songs are played daily across the TouchTunes network, with our popular mobile app driving the vast majority of plays.

We are seeking a Music Licensing and Curation Intern to support the music team and learn the ins and outs of the jukebox catalog by assisting in the process of researching, ordering, licensing, and playlisting music.

Day To Day:

• Work within the Music Department across the Licensing and Curation teams
• Monitor growing artists, genres, and trends to help research potential catalog adds
• Assist in the process of ordering content
• Research song copyrights, confirm publishing copyright information and update internal databases to clear songs for TouchTunes Jukeboxes
• Participate in playlist curation, reporting and brainstorming
• Work closely with colleagues from the music department to manage priorities, conduct research, and follow through on special projects

Your Profile:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree program with a major or minor in Music Business, Entertainment, Media, or a closely related program
• The ideal candidate has completed coursework and/or has experience in music business, music publishing, music copyright, royalties, and licensing, or other relevant education
• Basic understanding of music publishing and familiarity with US Performing Rights Organization search tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Interest in or passion for music, entertainment, and pop culture
• Eager to learn and grow
• Diligent follow up capabilities with effective persistence
• Familiarity with industry-standard contract terms and business models
• Ability to understand and interpret network music trends to help inform curation decisions
• Must be a team player with the ability to self-motivate, an eagerness to learn, and an easy-going, can-do attitude
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and be flexible across teams within the department
• Highly organized individual who pays close attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus

Work Requirements:
