TouchTunes is looking to add a fun, experienced and passionate Android Developer to join its growing team. The strong interactions and usage of our mobile applications from consumers are constantly pushing us to drive our Mobile solutions to the next level. In this role, you will be contributing on the evolution of our native Android applications and features. This role will give you the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design and create these new features as well as work with designers and product managers to help define and implement the UI.


If interested, you could even work on our iOS apps, as well as occasionally participate in the development of backend APIs used by our mobiles and built using Java/Spring. While we have experts on those, we see this as an opportunity for you to vary your day-to-day, contribute using all your strengths or grow by learning new skills.



What your day-to-day looks like:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including product management, design, and mobile and backend developers to define, design, and release new features that people want to use every day.
  • Work with cutting edge internal and 3rd party libraries, data sources and APIs.
  • Build world-class UIs for our mobile applications.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and quality.



What you bring to the table:


  • A few years of top notch programming training under your belt, whether it’s formal education (university/college), from your parents/industry professionals or online resources.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Kotlin.
  • Experience in writing multi-threaded and asynchronous code with coroutines.
  • Strong understanding of Android Architecture Components such as LiveData, Room and ViewModel.
  • Understanding of reactive programming concepts and software design patterns such as MVC, MVP and MVVM.
  • Experience with 3rd party libraries such as Retrofit and Koin
  • Experience with audio/video playback libraries such as MediaPlayer
  • Experience with Java (new code is Kotlin, older apps still have Java), Android Studio.
  • Good mobile application UI development skills

  • Passion for clean, consistent, simple and efficient code.
  • Experience and/or interest in iOS, Swift and libraries such as AlamoFire, RxSwift, Realm and AVPlayer.
  • Experience and/or interest in building RESTful APIs with Java Spring.
