Responsibilities Include:
- As Oceanit’s Ambassador, represent and share our company’s values and culture with communities that we touch.
- Build outreach networks and relationships to recruit star candidates as well as non-traditional candidates.
- Outreach and build partnerships with targeted Universities, faculties, technical groups, agencies and the community to broaden Oceanit’s network of affiliations.
- Develop, coordinate and deliver engaging presentations to assist with recruiting as well as lead staff retention activities.
- Interact effectively with hiring managers and take ownership of candidate recruitment by developing and executing recruitment strategies, designing and managing postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
- Source candidates using a variety of methods (including social media and established databases) to build a robust candidate pipeline.
- Work with Oceanit’s teams to create and implement recruiting and retention strategies.
- Assess applications and screen applicants to refer the ideal candidates to the Hiring Teams.
- Innovate the onboarding process to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Develop strategies and programs that will build a positive and productive work environment and culture, while balancing business needs and requirements.
Desired experience:
- A sincere passion and desire to build technical jobs and opportunities to create a more diverse economy in Hawaii.
- Ability to learn and grasp technical job requirements at a general level, in order to source and assess fit for technical positions
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach, recruiting and retention activities.
- Strong emotional intelligence skills and the ability to accurately determine what type of cultural alignment and impact prospective candidates would have on our company.
- Knowledge and understanding of recruiting and sourcing avenues and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust. A natural ability to connect with people.
- Superior verbal and written communication, client service and sales skills
- Excellent prioritization, organization, event planning and time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Engineering/Science and/or related technical fields.
