ABOUT THE ROLE:

At NCCI, we’re looking for an Innovation Consultant to join our Strategy team and help drive our organizational push for innovating across our new and existing tools and products. This includes the introduction of innovation techniques, language, and metrics to help achieve the cultural and operational objectives that enable our long-term strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:         

This is a hands-on role that touches on everything involved in bringing greater innovation to an organization, from senior leadership interaction, to tollgate management, to the facilitation of ideation sessions. This includes day-to-day activities such as advising project and other working teams on how to challenge the status quo, introducing processes to gather, prioritize and track new ideas, and addressing large groups on the mindset and methodology of being an innovative organization. It also includes the management of metrics and reporting to reflect the organization’s progress toward key objectives.

To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, take a hands-on approach, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. This role requires influential partnership with organizational leadership to execute the strategies that fuel NCCI’s future relevance.

This role, while offering a flexible work-from-home model, requires periodic in-person work at NCCI’s main office in Boca Raton, FL. As such, candidates must live in the vicinity of South Florida.

WHAT IT TAKES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business, marketing, strategy, or innovation field
  • 5+ years of experience in an innovation role or closely related area leading organization-wide innovation cultural efforts and project-level innovation efforts)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience applying innovation tools and techniques in a business environment, such as agile innovation sprints, fail-fast, and learning loops
  • Ability to lead teams to an understanding of the innovation mindset, and the language to help them communicate accordingly
  • Experience with applying metrics for innovation to ensure the reinforcement of desired behaviors and progress toward stated objectives
  • Experience influencing, coaching, and advising leaders on how to lead an innovative team
  • Experience using data to influence decision making outcomes
  • Ability to establish credibility/rapport and collaborate across the organization
  • Highly client service oriented with strong business, consultative, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple, complex, competing priorities
  • Proven ability to drive change management in a scaling environment
  • Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Ability to understand the entire talent management system, employee lifecycle, and develop and support integrated solutions
