Fleet Services - Automotive Technician II

Summary

Provides service, maintenance and repair work on light-duty vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision. Furnishes own hand tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance services in conformance to manufacturer specifications
• Diagnoses, repairs, and order parts for light-duty vehicle and equipment systems
• Responds to roadside calls
• Conducts road and static test to verify repairs
• Takes and picks up vehicles from outside vendors for repairs and services
• Maintains a clean and orderly shop
• Follows the city policies, procedures and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of repair/maintenance experience with light-duty vehicles and equipment or related area
• Furnishes own hand tools

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• EPA Section 609 Certification
• ASE A4, A5, A6 & A7 Certifications
