Inertia Engineering is seeking a talented electrical utility industry Product Manager.  In this role you will be responsible for managing product portfolios, providing technical and commercial support to customers, and to develop strategic and tactical plans encompassing market and competitive analysis based in our Stockton facility.

 

This role is remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the provision of technical solutions for clients and customers.
  • Determine purchasing and technical requirements.
  • Review and recommend changes in design that align with the organization's goals.
  • Ensure adequate technology is in place and utilized to meet internal and or client's needs.
  • Make certain that all reported issues are resolved in relation to organizational standards.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the product(s) and ensure that adaptations to applications provide solutions to user's needs.
  • May develop policies for providing technical training to clients or internal users.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately Ability to build and execute Product Line roadmaps to achieve fiscal performance.
  • Ability to work with customers, sales, applications, and design engineering to deliver customer expectations.
  • Regularly interface with end users to understand necessary product requirements and price levels.
  • Ability to build and implement go-to-market marketing and pricing strategies.

  • Make certain that all reported issues are resolved in relation to organizational standards.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the product(s) and ensure that adaptations to applications provide solutions to user's needs.
  • May develop policies for providing technical training to clients or internal users.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, and procedures.
  • In-person requirement to foster collaboration between local functional groups

 

What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
  • Perform complex tasks typically following established processes.
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical, software, or mechanical engineering and at least 6 years of experience.
  • MBA highly preferred with commercial experience.
  • 25% Travel to be expected
