Laundry Attendant/part-time

Job Description:

Responsible for the cleaning and care of soiled and clean linens, all laundry machinery, equipment and use of supplies which may include dyes, bleach, neutralizer solution

Typical Work Conditions:

Inside laundry room

Equipment Used:

Commercial washer and dryer, iron, cleaning solvents

Knowledge/Training:

·         Basic English necessary

·         Experience preferred but not required. On-the-job training.

Essential Tasks:

·         Sorting of soiled linen, loading, unloading and operation of washers and dryers

·         Folding of clean linen

·         Cleaning and care of all laundry room equipment, cleaning of floors, sorting tables, linen shelves, laundry trucks

·         Proper use of laundry supplies and materials

·         Responsible for starching and ironing all table linen
