Night Manager
 Marriott Stamford Hotel & Spa

We are looking for an experienced Overnight Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and its guests during the night, while providing exceptional levels of service to all customers during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for running night audit procedures and nightly reports with the Night Auditor. Position reports to Front Office Manager

 CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Overall responsibility for the property operation during nights including all legal requirements, ensuring all night procedures are adhered to and implemented as and when required.

 

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient Front Office Operations, supporting and training Team Members in handling guest requests and inquiries.

 

  • Demonstration of positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards.

 

  • Ensure everything is in order for a smooth handover to day team.

 

  • Support security within property to ensure our guests are safe and sound.

 

  • Be responsible for all cash handling whilst you are on duty.
  • Correctly administer the End of Day procedures every shift with 100% accuracy and consistency.

 

  • Reports guest concerns to appropriate department head and General Manager.

 

  • Investigates guest charges to resolve complaints.

 

  • Ensures all billing and paperwork is done in accordance with Accounting standards.

 

  • Effectively communicates with other departments.

 

  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 1-2 years experience as Night Manager in a full-service hotel is required.

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

  • High School diploma or Hospitality degree certificate required.

 

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all associates and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of all. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards of Stamford Marriott.  Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.
