SUMMARY
As a Software Developer you will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing, coding, testing and supporting application software. We want someone who is realistic about software design decisions; someone with self-discipline who enjoys owning their challenges, getting the job done, and moving on to the next challenge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with customers, business analysts and senior-level developers to understand business requirements that drive the analysis, design and development of quality/cost effective technical solutions.These solutions must be aligned with business and I.T. strategies and comply with Lynden’s architectural standards and delivered on time and within budget.
Ensures delivery of high quality software by writing clean code and utilizing unit test, continuous integration, and code reviews.
Helps provide training and post installation support for customers, coworkers, and other IT support personnel.
Ability to triage and manage concurrent tasks and projects, set priorities, and follow through to successful completion.
Reliability and timeliness are essential functions of this position.
Open to continuous learning.
Participates in 24x7 on call rotation.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree, with technology emphasis, from four-year College or university; or, two year associate degree in technology; or equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience.
Familiarity or experience with the Lynden Family of Companies is a plus.Must be willing to learn Universe programming language in order to maintain and eventually produce Universe software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to communicate effectively and timely with technical personnel and business managers. Required skills include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and effectively present information.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Exposure to applications development and programming experience in a business environment is helpful. Familiarity with project management processes is a plus.
