Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced IT Sr. Engineer – Dev Business Intelligence to work within the Segra footprint. The IT Sr. Engineer is responsible for design, configuration, and support of all faces of Business Intelligence systems and supporting data structures.  To include:


·       Data Lakes, Marts, and Warehouses

·       Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) Systems

·       Data Modeling (FACT/DIM, Cube, Schema) Systems

·       Business Intelligence (Dashboards, Reports, Analytics and Visualizations) Systems


The successful IT Sr. Engineer is responsible for coding and documenting procedures, and programming, testing and debugging. Responds to on-demand report requests as well as building required data structures with guidance from Senior BI Developers, Business Analysts, and other business entities. Responsible for documenting and maintaining data mapping documents between systems and reports as well as providing guidance on data governance.


The IT Sr. Engineer has:

  • 7+ years’ experience with database queries and administration.

·       Microsoft SQL required

·       OracleDB preferred

·       MySQL, Postgres, etc. helpful

  • 5+ years’ experience with ETL & data modeling tools.

·       SSIS required

·       SSAS preferred

·       Informatica, Talend, Erwin, etc. helpful.

  • 5+ years’ experience with data visualization tools.

·       SSRS required

·       Sisense preferred

·       PowerBI, Sisense, Tableau, etc. helpful.

The IT Sr. Engineer has excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills , must be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills, Ability to multi task effectively, Must have effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management, and team members to ensure customer satisfaction, Must be analytical and have proven problem solving abilities.
