ICS is looking for a Site Superintendent Intern to join our growing team of professionals.

Job Summary: This position will gain hands-on site experience and mentorship from a Site Superintendent. The position will complete all assigned tasks to help ensure projects are successful. They will work with the internal team by following standards, practices, and schedules that result in value-added projects being on-time, on budget and ultimately forming lasting relationships with our customers. The Site Superintendent Intern will gain knowledge of budgeting, policies and safety, project submittals, effective communication, and much more through working with an internal team, architects, owners, clients, facility staff, and others involved in the construction process. The intern will complete other duties and responsibilities assigned to assist the project team and ensure a successful project completion. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Assists in successfully maintaining project budget and schedule.
  • Assist in coordinating on-site project team, contractors, vendors, schedule, owner correspondence, client-relations, drawing management, approvals, materials, and deliveries.
  • Assist the Site Superintendent and Project Manager to work with owner and facility staff to ensure understanding of construction process, project progress, timelines, schedule, and budget.
  • Assist the Site Superintendent with effective coordination and facilitation of onsite construction activities. 
  • Assist the Site Superintendent to efficiently report and solve construction and site problems in a timely manner.  
  • Ensure specifications and policies are followed to guarantee a safe work environment and project codes are met and follow internal processes, policies, and delivery methods for construction projects.
  • Professionally provide proactive communication between internal team, architectural engineers, subcontractors, owners, and clients.
  • Ensures and maintains culture of safety on project site.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications required):
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management or related field. 
  • Junior or Senior status preferred. Ability to travel to project sites.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to listen carefully and work well on a team. 
  • Have the desire to learn quickly and grow professionally within the field. 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within the role.
