Green Building Certification Project Manager - RE Tech Advisors

The ideal Project Manager not only understands the high quality of the work provided by RE Tech Advisors to its clients but also has a passion for sustainability in the commercial real estate industry. This detail-oriented and analytical individual assists the Director of Green Building Certifications with green building certification consulting relating to vendor correspondence, policy writing, data analysis, and building system performance calculations. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, this project manager is in direct communication with property teams, vendors and internal team members.
This organized person is able to remain flexible with changing priorities and is able to multitask efficiently. The ideal candidate is a true team player who supports the Director and works with Project Associates to complete tasks. This Project Manager is a self-starter and takes the initiative to complete tasks on his/her own with the help and guidance from the Director. This person understands the importance of meeting deadlines and being respectful, honest, organized, detail-oriented, and driven to provide quality work.
This position is based out of our Dallas, TX office; however, we will consider qualified remote candidates. RE Tech supports a hybrid work model with flexible work schedules that include a mix of in office and work from home.
Essential Job Functions:
Hold regular calls to guide property teams through the Green Building Certification (GBC) process
Create budgets and proposals to pursue GBCs
Prepare Gap Analyses for LEED project as well as other Green Building Certification projects
Work with property vendors and suppliers to verify compliance with green building certification standards
Ensure each project stays within a set budget
Communicate directly with property teams
Benchmark and optimize properties using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager
Review utility bills and input data into Portfolio Manager
Analyze transportation/occupant survey results
Update/create policies to meet green building certification standards
Measure square footages in building site plans and drawings using PDF editor software
Complete documentation related to green building certifications such as LEED and other Green Building Certification projects.
Collaborate with team members on cross functional projects
Essential Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Passion for sustainability and green buildings
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or other related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar field
Green Building Accreditations including LEED AP
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proven track record of managing projects independently
Detail oriented and analytically inclined
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects, change priorities, and keep up with a continually heavy workload
